DESCRIPTION
Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following Electronic Technology Adjunct Instructor.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
- Instruct students in the assigned discipline
- Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, on-line courses and/or off-campus sites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Most current Minimum Qualifications for Faculty in California Community Colleges: Any Bachelor's degree AND two years of experience OR any Associates degree AND six years of experience.
Antelope Valley College Equivalency:- College work, military training, or nationally recognized certifications equivalent to a Baccalaureate degree and two years of related occupational experience in the discipline; or, college work, military training, or nationally recognized certification equivalent to an Associate degree plus six years of occupational experience related to the discipline, AND
- Eight years of experience in the electronics technology occupation, two years of which must have included assignment as a supervisor, instructor, or trainer in the electronics technology occupation. (Antelope Valley College Equivalency expires November 16, 2026).
AND a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (Assembly Bill 1725; Education Code 87360).

- Scanned copy of official transcripts with required degree(s). Foreign transcripts and degrees require official certification of equivalency to U.S. transcripts and degrees by a certified U.S. review service at the time of application and must identify graduate level coursework.
- Two (2) current letters of professional reference signed and dated within the last year.

- Applicants may be subject to passing an examination (written/technical), as appropriate to the requirements of the position.
- Residency within a reasonable geographical area of the college may be necessary.
